Bio

I'm a Software Engineer since 1996. I work in the R&D department of [Zend Technologies](https://www.zend.com) in Cupertino (California). I'm an open source contributor of [Zend Framework](https://framework.zend.com/) and [Apigility](https://apigility.org/). I'm a [TEDx](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SienrLY40-w) and regular speaker of conferences about web programming. I did computer science research at the Informatics Institute of the University of Amsterdam. I'm the co-author of the books *PHP Best Practices* and *Javascript Best Practices* published by [FAG Milano](https://www.fag.it/). I'm the co-founder of [PHP User Group in Turin](https://torino.grusp.org/) (Italy), where I live and work remotely, most of my time.
